When you contact us through the website, email, telephone or WhatsApp, we may receive your name, company name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method and the information you provide about your requirement.

Our hosting services may also record limited technical information such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages and the date and time of a request for security, reliability and troubleshooting purposes.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and communicate with you;
• understand, assess and provide the services you request;
• prepare proposals, plan projects or manage an ongoing client relationship;
• protect the website, email systems and business from misuse or security threats; and

Submitting an enquiry does not add you to an unrelated marketing list.

Cyphertech does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by trusted hosting, email, cloud or professional service providers where this is necessary to operate the website, respond to an enquiry or deliver an agreed service. Where a project requires a supplier or specialist, relevant information will be shared only when appropriate to the work.

We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, the client relationship, security, dispute handling or applicable record-keeping requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information. No internet transmission or electronic storage system can, however, be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Cookies and website measurement

The current website does not use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking. Essential technical data may be used by the hosting environment to deliver and protect the website. If analytics or marketing technologies are introduced later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated.

Your choices and rights

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, raise an objection or ask us to delete information where appropriate. Some information may need to be retained when required for an existing agreement, legal obligation, security matter or legitimate record-keeping purpose.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator South Africa if you believe your personal information has been handled unlawfully.
